Police quarreled with a Sikh youth during checking, uproar continued for 2 hours on the charge of making him drop his turban

There was a clash between the police and the youth in Jaipur, Rajasthan on Friday. After which the angry youth sat on the bonnet of the police vehicle. It is alleged that the policeman in civil dress beat up the Sikh youth and threw off his turban. After this, tension increased and a large number of people from the Sikh community came out on the streets. As the situation worsened, a quarrel broke out after an argument and during this the youth also slapped the policeman in plain clothes. Seeing the matter getting worse, other policemen intervened and pacified the matter.

There was a ruckus during the action on liquor shops

The whole matter is of Jaipur’s Gopalpura bypass. On Friday night around 9:30, police arrived in plain clothes to take action against liquor shops. During this, the police caught a person, but the cafe owner clashed with the police to save him. After which a civil dress policeman had an argument with the cafe owner. During this, when his friend came to intervene, he also clashed with the police and soon a fight broke out between the two sides.

During this clash, the Sikh youth’s turban fell down. But the youth alleges that the policeman in civil dress demanded free coffee at the cafe. When he refused, the policeman slapped him. After this, his turban was thrown down and he was threatened with a gun. In such a situation, due to the misbehavior with the Sikh youth, the Sikh community came out in protest and started demanding action against the policeman who insulted religious sentiments.

The ACP explained and pacified the matter

As soon as Malviya Nagar ACP Aditya Poonia got the information, he reached the spot. After which he controlled the situation by explaining to the people. ACP Aditya Poonia said that the sub-inspector had gone in civil dress to take action against illegal liquor. During this, when the police caught a person on the spot, a young man came to his rescue. After which a clash took place. The youth alleged that he was abused and beaten up. Whereas the person who was taken into custody by the police, on the contrary, he clashed with the police to free him. After the incident, there is peace on the spot and no FIR of any kind has been registered.
