PM Netanyahu roared after the fierce attack on Israel, Hezbollah retreated after a strong counterattack

There is a situation of fierce war between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah. Air strikes are being carried out continuously from both sides. On Sunday, Hezbollah carried out 320 simultaneous attacks on Israel with drones and targeted 11 military bases. In response, Israel has also carried out air strikes on more than 100 bases in Lebanon. A 48-hour emergency situation has also been declared in the country. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant are monitoring the situation in Tel Aviv. Netanyahu also called an emergency meeting.

In this meeting, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “What happened today is not the end of the story. Hezbollah has tried to attack Israel with rockets and drones. We have instructed the IDF to carry out the necessary operation to eliminate the threat. Our army has destroyed hundreds of rockets in the air, which were designed to attack our citizens and security forces.”

Netanyahu further said, “We are striking a devastating blow against Hezbollah. Three weeks ago, we eliminated its Chief-of-Staff. Today we foiled its attack plan. I repeat that this is not the end of the story.” After the conflict in Gaza, the situation between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah has worsened. Israel has to fight on many fronts simultaneously.

Hezbollah retreated after Israel’s strong attack

Here, after Israel’s strong attack, Hezbollah has taken a step back. Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said in his televised address that Israel will not be attacked from his side for now. He says that talks are going on in Qatar regarding the ceasefire of the war going on in Gaza. In such a situation, he does not want to disrupt it, so he will not attack Israel right now.

IDF spokesperson said- we are attacking in self-defense

The Israeli army says that its fighter jets are attacking Hezbollah’s bases in Lebanon. This step has been taken after Hezbollah’s missile and rocket firing activities were detected. Israeli Defense Force spokesman Daniel Hagar said that Lebanon is being attacked in self-defense to ward off Hezbollah’s missile and rocket attacks.

The Israeli army spokesman also said that before attacking Lebanon, the common people were immediately warned to leave Hezbollah areas. Daniel Hagar said, “The terrorist organization Hezbollah has launched a rocket attack towards Israel. To overcome these threats, our army has also attacked terrorist hideouts in Lebanon in a self-defense action. Our preparations are complete.”

Hezbollah is also giving a strong response to the Israeli attack. Hezbollah has rained rockets and drones on Israel. Three days ago, the IDF had targeted 10 Hezbollah locations in southern Lebanon. In this, 8 people including a child died, while many people were injured. The Israeli army killed Mohammad Mahmoud Najem, the operator of Hezbollah’s drone and rocket unit.

America keeps an eye on tension between Israel and Hezbollah

Amid rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, White House National Security Council spokesman Sean Savet said US President Joe Biden is keeping a close watch. Biden remained connected with his national security team throughout the evening. On his instructions, senior US officials continued to communicate with their Israeli counterparts. The US will continue to support Israel’s right to self-defense.

Thousands of demonstrators protested against the war in Tel Aviv

Meanwhile, thousands of protesters marched in Tel Aviv and appealed to the Israeli government to reach an agreement for the release of the hostages. The family and friends of the hostages fear that if the war in Gaza continues for long, more hostages will be killed. This protest took place at a time when the final round of talks is going on in the Egyptian capital Cairo to end the war that has been going on in Gaza for the last 10 months.

Israeli representatives are present in the talks being mediated by the US, Qatar and Egypt, but Hamas is not participating in these talks, although Hamas representatives are present in Cairo. The people who have been protesting in Tel Aviv for a long time have also demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his entire government. They claim that Prime Minister Netanyahu and his government are completely incapable of releasing the hostages and running the country.
