Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign ahead of Independence Day 2024. The PM has replaced his profile picture with a picture of the tricolor on his social media account ‘X’. In his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio broadcast on July 28, PM Modi talked about the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and urged people to upload selfies with the national flag on the website harghartiranga.com.

Nadda gave instructions to the officials

The BJP has made “extensive preparations” for the campaign and party president J P Nadda has directed all officials to ensure its success. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Tarun Chugh had said in a statement that the BJP will take out a Tiranga Yatra in every assembly constituency from August 11 to August 13.

Chugh said that floral tributes will be paid to freedom fighters and war memorials on August 12, 13 and 14. Chugh said that Partition Memorial Day will be celebrated by taking out silent processions in all districts on August 14.

He said the tricolour will be hoisted at all homes and business establishments on August 13, 14 and 15, turning the “whole country into a sea of ​​saffron, white and green”. Chugh said BJP officials, leaders and public representatives will participate in the Independence Day programmes. He said the party’s aim is to ensure that the tricolour reaches each booth across the country.
