PM Modi returns to Delhi after concluding his three-day visit to Singapore-Brunei

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Delhi late Thursday night after concluding his three-day visit to Singapore and Brunei.
PM Modi shared a video of his Singapore visit on X and wrote, ‘My visit to Singapore has been very fruitful. It will definitely strengthen bilateral relations and benefit the people of both countries. I thank the government and people of Singapore for their warmth.’

Earlier, PM Modi and Singapore PM Lawrence Wong met at the Parliament House in Singapore. Both the leaders held bilateral meetings with their delegations. In their talks, the two leaders reviewed the progress of India-Singapore bilateral relations. After this, the two sides exchanged four MoUs in the field of digital technology, semiconductors, skill development and health service. Prime Minister Modi invited PM Lawrence Wong to visit India, which he accepted.

PM Modi also visited the semiconductor facility of AEM Holdings Limited in Singapore. Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong was also present during this visit. PM Modi invited Singapore’s semiconductor companies to participate in the Semicon India Expo to be held in Greater Noida from 11-13 September. The Prime Minister also met Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. The talks between the two leaders focused on taking bilateral relations between India and Singapore to greater heights.

India and Singapore will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year. In this backdrop, the two Prime Ministers agreed to take bilateral relations to a higher level to deepen and broaden bilateral cooperation between India and Singapore. Before the Singapore visit, PM Modi was on an official visit to Brunei. PM Modi held extensive talks with Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. During their talks, the two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, ‘Glad to meet Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei. Our conversation was comprehensive and included ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between our countries. We are going to further expand trade relations, commercial relations.’ PM Modi inaugurated the new chancery of the Indian High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei.
