PM Modi interacted with honored teachers, said- teach languages ​​and culture through local folklore, emphasized on NEP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with teachers awarded with National Teacher Award on the occasion of Teachers Day. He said that efforts are being made to honour talented teachers through innovative methods. He emphasised on the important responsibility of teachers to prepare the youth of the country for building a developed India. He also discussed the positive effects of the New Education Policy (NEP).

Emphasis on new education policy

On this occasion, PM Modi suggested that the award winning teachers should connect with each other on social media and share their best practices so that everyone can learn, adopt and benefit. He discussed the impact of NEP and talked about the importance of getting education in mother tongue. He said that the contribution of teachers is very important in building the future of the country and the new education policy is a strong effort in that direction. To implement this, teachers should work as a guide and source of inspiration in the lives of students.

Teach languages ​​and cultural diversity through local folklore

According to a report by news agency PTI, PM Modi suggested that teachers teach their students local folklore in different languages ​​so that they can learn many languages ​​and learn about India’s cultural diversity and history. He suggested that teachers can involve students in the selection of the top 100 tourist destinations in the country. For this, they should be encouraged to learn about various places where they can visit as part of educational trips. Teachers should take their students to nearby universities and watch sports events, as this experience can give wings to their dreams. He said that teachers should prepare the youth not only in the field of education but also to deal with the challenges of life.

Let us tell you that on Teachers’ Day, President Draupadi Murmu honored 82 teachers from across the country with the National Teacher Award. An official statement said that these include 50 teachers from the School Education and Literacy Department, 16 teachers from the Higher Education Department and 16 teachers from the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. PM Modi interacted with these teachers on Friday and released a video on Saturday.
