‘People wear such clothes that their eyes get lowered’, Ram Gopal Yadav gets angry at the reels makers in Parliament

Samajwadi Party MP Professor Ram Gopal Yadav raised the issue of Instagram reels during Zero Hour in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. Professor Ram Gopal Yadav, furious at the reels makers, said that people wear such clothes that the eyes get lowered. He said that if nudity and alcoholism increases in any society, then many civilizations get destroyed. Professor Yadav demanded the government to take steps to stop this and also reminded the slogan of protection of Indian civilization and culture from the Jan Sangh era.

He said that in our times, English was taught from the sixth class. When the child used to learn a little, he was told – ‘… character is loss, everything is loss.’ Professor Ram Gopal Yadav said that today the situation is such that some platforms are promoting obscenity. He said that I would like to name Instagram reels in particular. The SP MP said that according to estimates, our youth are spending an average of three hours every day watching reels on Instagram, watching vulgar serials and vulgar programs.

Professor Yadav said that the love that develops in a family by sitting together and eating together is not there today. People sit together but are busy with their phones. He said that such news is being seen every day that friendship happened on Instagram, marriage happened and after that the boy murdered the girl. Such incidents are happening. Professor Yadav also mentioned online classes and demanded the government to take steps regarding Instagram reels, platforms that promote nudity and alcoholism in the society.

At the same time, NCP MP from Maharashtra Fauzia Khan raised the issue of the impact of online gaming addiction on children. She also mentioned the suicide of a child in Pune, Maharashtra and demanded a regulation regarding it. Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party MP from Punjab Vikramjit Singh Sahni also raised the issue of spreading hatred through social media.

Aam Aadmi Party MP said in Rajya Sabha that there is no restriction on social media. He said that anything is being written about anyone on social media. Even for our honourable Prime Minister, Leader of Opposition. Vikramjit said that just a few days ago, something was written about a senior army officer which we cannot even speak about in the House.

He said that this is causing tension in the society. Such accounts should be closed. Vikramjit Singh said that there is freedom of expression but liberty is also important. He said that we had also given a private members bill in the House regarding this. A law should be made regarding this.
