People started doing Garba amidst the flood, a unique scene went viral during the disaster in Vadodara

After floods and rains in Gujarat, now cyclone ‘Asna’ has also increased the problems of millions of people. Although the cyclone has weakened to a great extent, but due to this the condition of many flood affected districts of Gujarat has become worse.

After continuous heavy rains for several days, the rain has now stopped in Gujarat. But many pictures of waterlogging from Gujarat are going viral on social media. Meanwhile, a video of a locality in Vadodara is going viral, in which people are doing Garba in flood water. It is believed that this video is from the day of Janmashtami, when water started filling in Vadodara.

In the video, people are seen performing Garba in knee-deep water. Music is playing on speakers in the background and people are enjoying Garba while cheering loudly.

Meanwhile, some people were seen preparing for the Dahi Handi event. One person tied a pot on a rope decorated with balloons, while others were seen dancing, singing and celebrating in the water-filled area.

Rain wreaks havoc in Gujarat

During the last 24 hours, the average rainfall of the entire state was recorded to be only 1.36 mm. According to the data of the State Emergency Operation Center, Gandhinagar, in the last 24 hours in Gujarat, Mundra taluka of Kutch received the highest rainfall of 1 inch, while a total of 68 talukas of the state recorded less than 1 inch of rain. No rain was recorded in any taluka of the state between 6 am and 10 am today. This year in the season, the total average rainfall of the state has been recorded so far by more than 111%.

How is the situation in Gujarat amid heavy rains

Let us tell you that there is devastation in Gujarat from Saurashtra to Kutch. Relief and rescue work is going on at war level from Vadodara to Rajkot, Jamnagar to Kheda. Vadodara’s Sayajiganj area is flooded with water up to 8 feet. People are imprisoned in their homes for 2 days. There is no electricity, no water. In such a situation, army soldiers are helping like angels, and with the help of rope and bucket, water and food is being delivered to every house.
