‘Peace agreement’ sealed in Tripura, NLFT and ATTF signed in presence of Amit Shah

On Wednesday, in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, representatives of the Government of India, Government of Tripura, National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) signed the memorandum of the Tripura Peace Agreement. After this agreement, the NLFT said that we have trusted the government. Therefore, we are ending the 30-year armed struggle. We have shared our conditions. We trust the Home Minister.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha thanked Home Minister Amit Shah for this peace agreement. He said that the Home Minister has proved to be the architect of this peace agreement. He said that in the last 10 years, more than a dozen peace agreements have been signed in the North East, out of which 3 agreements are for Tripura. The future of Tripura is bright. We also thank PM Modi.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that with this agreement, 328 people from these two organizations will come into the mainstream. A package of Rs 250 crore will be for this area of ​​Tripura. All this has been possible through peace and dialogue. PM Modi has bridged the distance between hearts of the North East. An agreement was also reached in March

Let us tell you that in order to bring a permanent solution to the problems of the indigenous people of Tripura, a tripartite agreement was signed between TIPRA Motha, Tripura and the Central Government during the month of March this year in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

According to an official statement, under the agreement, it was agreed to resolve all the issues related to the history, land, political rights, economic development, identity, culture and language of the indigenous people of Tripura in an amicable manner. During this, Amit Shah had said that I assure all the stakeholders of Tripura that now you will not have to struggle for your rights. The Government of India will be two steps ahead in creating a mechanism to protect your rights.

What did the central government say

The central government has said that the Home Ministry is working tirelessly towards realising Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed Northeast, free from insurgency, violence and conflict. Under the leadership of the PM, the government has signed 12 important agreements to restore peace and prosperity in the Northeast, out of which 3 are related to the state of Tripura. The statement said that due to the various agreements made by the Modi government, about 10 thousand people have given up arms and joined the mainstream of society.
