Paris Paralympics 2024 Opening Ceremony: Paris is ready to host the Paralympics. It will begin with a grand opening ceremony in the heart of Paris, the capital of France. The opening ceremony will take place on August 28 at 11:30 pm Indian time at prestigious places like Place de la Concorde (Paris’ largest square) and Champs-Elysees.

The Paris Olympics will last for 11 days. The Paralympics usually take place inside stadiums, but unlike traditional ceremonies, the Paralympic opening ceremony will take place outdoors, featuring some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde and the Trocadero.

The Paris Olympics will begin with a grand parade on the iconic Champs-Elysees, in which delegations from 184 countries from around the world will participate. 6,000 athletes and officials will attend the opening ceremony.

Speaking to Olympics.com, Thomas Jolly, artistic director of the Olympic opening ceremony, said Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman will perform. Dance will be the main attraction in Ekman’s performance, which will include more than 150 dancers, including differently-abled ones. Ekman is known for Swan Lake in Oslo in 2016, where he created a stage lake with 6,000 liters of water.
