Paris Paralympics 2024: India’s double blast… Dharambir won gold in club throw, Pranav Surma got silver

Indian players also dominated on the seventh day of Paris Paralympics 2024 i.e. 4 August (Wednesday). Dharambir performed brilliantly and won the gold medal in Men’s Club Throw (F51). Dharambir threw 34.92 meters in his fourth attempt. Pranav Surma of India managed to win the silver medal in the same event.

Pranav threw 34.59 meters in his first attempt. Serbia’s Djelo Dimitrijevic managed to win the bronze medal with a best throw of 34.18 meters. Another Indian Amit Kumar Saroha disappointed and finished tenth (23.96 meters). This was India’s fifth gold medal in the current Paralympic Games. With these two medals, India’s medal count has now gone up to 24. India has so far won 5 gold, 8 silver and 11 bronze medals.
