Competitions have started in Paris Olympics 2024. Medals were expected from Indian shooters on the first day, but they disappointed. In the 10 meter air rifle mixed team event, both the Indian pairs could not even qualify for the final. Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh finished 12th. While Ramita Jindal and Arjun Babuta secured sixth place. Ramita-Arjun scored a total of 628.7 points. While Elavenil-Sandeep managed to score 626.3 points.
Let us tell you that only the top-4 teams qualified for the medal round in the 10 meter air rifle mixed team event. The final of this event is to be held on 27th July. Keep in mind that this was the only medal event for India today. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu holds the record of winning a medal on the first day of the Olympic Games from India. Chanu won the silver medal on the first day of Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Sandeep – 1st series: 104.1, 2nd series 105.3, 3rd series 104.3, Total: 313.7 points
