Paris Olympics 2024 Day 4, July 30 Round Up/ Daily Recap, Day 4 at Paris 2024: Tuesday (30 July) was also an auspicious day for India in the Paris Olympics. In the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event, the Indian pair of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won the bronze medal. This was India’s second medal in this Paris Olympics. Manu Bhaker became the first Indian to win two medals in the same Olympics after independence, who created history on 30 July by defeating South Korea in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team category at the Paris Olympics with Sarabjot Singh. British-born Indian player Norman Pritchard won silver medals in 200 meter sprint and 200 meter hurdles in the 1900 Olympics, but that achievement was before independence.
The Indian pair defeated Korea’s Lee Wonho and O Ye Jin 16-10 to give the country its second medal in this Olympics. Earlier, Manu had won bronze in the women’s 10 meter air pistol event. Star shooter Manu still has to compete in the 25 meter air pistol event and she also has a chance to win a third medal, the matches of this event are to start from August 2.
Indian hockey team beats Ireland
The Indian men’s hockey team performed brilliantly and won its third match in the group stage on 30 July. It defeated Ireland 2-0. Both the goals in this match were scored by captain Harmanpreet Singh. Earlier, the Indian team had defeated New Zealand 3-2. While it played a 1-1 draw with Argentina.
With this win against Ireland, Team India has reached the top of the points table ahead of the Belgium-Australia match.

Bhajan Kaur entered the pre-quarterfinals of Archery
In archery, Bhajan Kaur entered the pre-quarterfinals. After the opening round, in the next match, Ankita defeated the Polish archer 6-0. Earlier, Bhajan Kaur had defeated the Indonesian archer 7-3 in the round of 32 match.
Preeti faced disappointment in boxing
Although Indian women boxer Preeti Pawar performed brilliantly in the second round, she lost the match by split decision. Preeti Pawar’s debut in the Paris Olympics was very impressive.
Boxer Amit Panghal is out
