In the javelin throw event at the Paris Olympics (Paris Olympic 2024), Pakistani player Arshad Nadeem performed brilliantly and won the gold medal with a throw of 92.97 meters. On the other hand, Neeraj Chopra, representing India, won the silver medal by securing the second position with a throw of 89.45 meters. With this, this is the first time in the history of Pakistan that an athlete has won a gold medal in an individual event at the Olympics.

Arshad achieved this great feat in the second attempt and surpassed the previous Olympic record of 90.57 meters set by Andreas Thorkildsen of Norway. Arshad Nadeem threw 88.72 meters in the third round, 79.40 meters in the fourth round and 84.87 meters in the fifth round. In the last round, Arshad Nadeem threw the javelin 91.97 meters. Indian star Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in javelin throw. He threw the javelin 89.45 meters.

Nadeem made his name in Olympic history by breaking the record of men’s javelin throw event with a throw of 92.97 meters in the final. Nadeem was fouled in the first round, after which he made a record with a throw of 92.97 meters in the second round. Nadeem threw the javelin beyond 90 meters in 2 out of 6 attempts.
