PAK tested Shaheen-2 ballistic missile, if fired from Karachi, range up to Gorakhpur?

Pakistan tested its ballistic missile on Tuesday, 20 August 2024. It is also called Hatf-6. It is a surface-to-surface medium-range ballistic missile. This missile is used by the Strategic Command of the Pakistan Army. Through this, Pakistan wants to show its strength.

With this missile test, Pakistan wants to show its strength in South Asia. The weight of this missile is 23,600 kg. Its length is 17.2 meters and diameter is 1.4 meters. Its maximum firing range is 2000 kilometers. It has a warhead of 1230 kg. It can carry nuclear weapons.

This is a two-stage missile that works on automatic transmission. The accuracy of this missile that flies on solid propellant is less than 350 meters. This means that the target of the missile cannot run very far even if it wants to. Wherever this missile falls, there will be devastation all around within 350 meters of that place.

Pakistan, Shaheen-2 nuclear ballistic missile

Re-entry vehicle can also be fitted in this missile. That is, weapons that can attack multiple targets simultaneously. Their weight can be 700 kg to 1250 kg. Terminal guidance system can also be fitted with nuclear weapons in it. Its total range is 2000 km. That is, if fired from Karachi, it will reach almost Gorakhpur. Or maybe even more. That is, more than half of India will come under the range of this missile.
