There is special news for people associated with farming. Government procurement of paddy in UP will start from October 1, 2024. For this, farmers can buy paddy through the portal of Food Department. fcs.up.gov.in You can register by visiting. The UP government has started registration for government purchase of paddy for Kharif Season 2024-25. If you are a farmer and want to sell your main Kharif crop paddy at MSP (Minimum Support Price), then you have to do online registration or renewal. Let us know the process.

Money will be sent to the farmers’ accounts
After online registration, the money of the farmers selling paddy will be sent to their account by the government. But if you have not linked your bank account with Aadhar card, then money will not be transferred to your account. This time the central government has fixed the MSP of common paddy at Rs 2300 per quintal and the MSP of grade A paddy at Rs 2320 per quintal.

Many options have been given for online registration. For this, you can go to any public facility center or village cyber cafe near your house and register with the necessary documents or you can also register from your mobile sitting at home. Apart from this, you can also register through the portal of the Food Department. fcs.up.gov.in You can register on it. If you already want to sell paddy at MSP in the current Kharif season, then you will only have to get it renewed. Apart from the department’s portal, farmers can also register or renew through the mobile app “UP Kisan Mitra”.

Know the online registration process

• First visit the official website for online registration Go to.
• Go here and enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number.
• An OTP will be sent to the number you entered.
• After entering the OTP the registration process will start.
• After this, you can register by entering the necessary information including land and bank account documents.
• In this, you will also have to enter the details of your family so that if you are unable to reach the procurement centre for any reason, paddy can be purchased in the presence of a pre-registered family member.

If you want to know the status of the sale of the crop, then for this you will have to download “UP Kisan Mitra” on your phone. You will also have to download your mobile app from Google Play Store or through QR Code. Farmers participating in government procurement can also check the status of the sale payment through the mobile app UP Kisan Mitra.

When and where will paddy be purchased?
The UP government has decided to divide the entire state into two zones for paddy procurement and will buy paddy in both zones at different time periods. For this, paddy will be procured in the Western UP zone from October 1 to January 31 next year. In this zone, farmers from all the districts of Bareilly, Moradabad, Meerut, Saharanpur, Agra, Aligarh and Jhansi divisions apart from Hardoi, Sitapur and Lakhimpur districts of Lucknow division will be able to sell their paddy.

In the eastern zone, paddy will be procured from November 1 to February 28 next year. Apart from Rae Bareli, Unnao and Lucknow districts of Lucknow division, Chitrakoot, Kanpur, Ayodhya, Devipatan, Basti, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Varanasi, Mirzapur and Prayagraj divisions have been included in this zone.

Government purchase of paddy will be done from 9 am to 5 pm
Thus, during the current Kharif season, government procurement of paddy will be done in two phases from 9 am to 5 pm at all procurement centres across the state.
