Shopkeepers and vendors on the route of Kanwar Yatra in Uttar Pradesh no longer need to put nameplates in front of their shops. The Supreme Court has put an interim stay on the government’s order. A notice was also issued to the UP government in this regard. The government has now filed its reply in the Supreme Court stating that this order was given for the conduct of peaceful Kanwar Yatra.
