budget 2024 , The opposition has intensified its attacks on the government, accusing Budget 2024 of ‘discrimination’. The opposition alleges that the government has shown generosity in giving budget to Bihar and Andhra Pradesh and has withdrawn from allocating budget to opposition-ruled states. As soon as the opposition members reached the Parliament premises on the third day of the monsoon session, they started attacking the government. All the big leaders of the opposition gathered to protest in the Parliament premises, alleging ‘discrimination’ in the budget. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi also reached to join the protest. Mallikarjun Kharge, Derek O’Brien, Jaya Bachchan, Akhilesh Yadav, Shashi Tharoor and Priyanka Chaturvedi criticized the government for the budget.

Akhilesh Yadav’s taunt- Vikas is going to Bihar, not UP

Talking to the media, the SP president said, ‘Samajwadi Party wants that farmers get support price and their income doubles. The government is giving ‘support price’ not to farmers but to the parties supporting it. First you bring unemployment, then you bring half-hearted jobs. This is not going to build the future of the youth. What will happen after internship, who will give them jobs? There is no provision in the budget to control inflation. Even if the middle class has been given facilities, it has been taken back by inflation. UP was shown big dreams but what did it get? It seems that the people of Delhi have blocked the way to Lucknow. Or the people of Lucknow have angered Delhi, we can see its effect in the budget. Development is not going to UP but to Bihar. How will you stop the floods of Bihar without stopping the floods of Nepal and UP. If you stop the floods of UP and Nepal, the floods of Bihar will stop automatically.’
