Only 12.43% students passed the PhD entrance exam of this university, all failed in three subjects

This year only 12.43 percent students have passed the PhD entrance exam of BRA Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. Let us tell you that 3300 students had filled the form for this year’s PhD entrance exam, out of which 1625 appeared for the exam. Out of these only 202 students passed. The exam was held on June 9 at five centers. For the first time in PAT, not even a single candidate qualified in Mathematics, Electronics and Persian.

The result of the PhD entrance examination in Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University was released on Tuesday by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai. Only 12.43 percent students have passed in it. 3300 students had registered for this year’s PhD entrance examination, out of which 1625 appeared for the examination. Out of these, only 202 could pass.

Maximum 32 candidates have passed in Commerce subject. The Vice Chancellor said that the result of PAT has been prepared in a completely clean manner. The result will now be sent to all the department heads. The university is not releasing the marks of the written examination right now. The marks will be known in the final result after the interview of the students.

The interview process for admission in PhD will be held in August. All the department heads will give the date for the interview process. The seats in PhD will also be decided only after the interview, the interview will be of 20 marks. The final result of PAT will be prepared on the basis of written, interview and academic points. The Vice Chancellor said that after the final result of PAT 2022, the portal will be opened once for PAT 2023. With this, the students who could not be selected will get a chance again. The Vice Chancellor said that the PAT 2023 exam is expected to be held in October. So far about 2200 applications have been received.

Bihar University will release seats for PhD 2023 in advance. Raj Bhavan has directed that half the seats in PhD 2023 will be reserved for students taking NET-JRF and half the seats will be for students taking general PAT. Therefore, the university will determine the seats for PhD 2023 in advance. PhD seats will be sought from all departments.
