OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 10 Pro are going dead, repair cost is more than new phones, the company gave this answer

Many users using old OnePlus smartphones are complaining about the motherboard being dead. Users are complaining that the company is charging so much for their smartphones that their device is not even worth the price. This problem is being faced by OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 10 Pro users.

At the end of last month, many such reports came in which OnePlus users complained that their smartphones were dying. The price quoted by the company for repairing their device is more than the price of their smartphone.

Users are complaining

This has affected OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 10 Pro users the most. Users complain that they faced this problem after installing a software update. There are many users on OnePlus Community who are complaining. One user said that he bought OnePlus 10 Pro in the year 2022.

In August 2024, his phone suddenly shut down and a black screen started appearing. The phone was not responding. Another user has also posted a similar complaint. The user said that his OnePlus 10 Pro suddenly froze.

After this, he tried a lot to turn on the phone, but it did not happen. When he showed the phone to the service center, he was told that the motherboard of the smartphone has gone dead. The service center asked for 42 thousand rupees to fix it. When the user told that this problem happened after a software update, the service center manager did not listen to him.

They said that they can offer them a maximum discount of 10 percent. Another user told that a similar problem occurred in OnePlus 9 Pro, for which 27 thousand rupees were asked to repair it. After the complaints of users on social media, the company has given its response on this.

What does OnePlus say?

The company said, ‘We are sorry for some recent cases. Our customers’ experience is very important to us. We are still investigating the reasons and we want to assure you that we will resolve the issue as soon as possible. We know that the repair cost of the motherboard is high and we are working on reducing it. We urge any user who is facing this problem to get in touch with the service center.’
