The incidents that happened in two parts of the country, West Bengal and Maharashtra, have shaken the entire nation. While on one hand the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital has created a sensation across the country, a similar incident has come to light in a school in Maharashtra’s Badlapur, which has angered the people.
Many shocking facts have come to light about the family life of the accused arrested in Kolkata and Badlapur. With the emergence of these facts, not only the crimes of the accused but also their personal lives have become a topic of discussion. The family life of these two accused is no less than a mysterious and complicated story, in which one had married four times, while the other had married twice.
The police have also revealed the horoscope of Sanjay Roy, the accused arrested in the rape-murder case that took place at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. The presence of four wives in the accused’s life has surprised everyone. His first marriage happened when he was quite young. Some reports also mention that he has children, but there is no clear information about this.
This complex family structure has also posed a challenge for the police and investigating agencies. Investigation has revealed that the accused had married four times. However, three wives had left him due to his dirty conduct, while the fourth wife died of cancer last year. Accused Sanjay Roy’s family also includes his mother. However, Sanjay did not live with her.
The investigation also revealed that the accused kept misbehaving and molesting other girls before and after the murder. After arresting Roy, when the CBI started scanning his activities of the last 24 hours, such information came out about him that left the investigating officers stunned. The investigation revealed that Sanjay Roy had also gone to a red light area near the hospital on the night of the incident and while returning from there, he molested a girl on the way. Even after the rape and murder, he called a woman and his behavior with her was like a pervert.
Investigation has revealed that after committing this crime, Sanjay called a woman, whom he addressed as ‘didi’, but the truth is that he spoke rudely to this woman as well. In a CCTV footage recovered from the hospital, Sanjay Roy is seen coming out of the hospital on the night of 8 August.
Investigation revealed that after leaving the hospital at night, Sanjay first went to the red light area of Sonagachi with one of his civic volunteer friends. There his friend went inside a prostitution den, but Sanjay stood outside. After this, both of them went to Chetla, another red light area in South Kolkata. But here also Sanjay’s friend went inside the den and he stood outside. And then while returning from here, he molested a girl and asked her for her nude pictures.
Now let’s go to Badlapur. The kind of incident that has come to light in Badlapur, Maharashtra, this accused is no different from Kolkata case accused Sanjay in terms of family. This accused was also married for many years, but after some time he married for the second time. Akshay Shinde, the accused arrested in the case of sexual harassment of two girls, had married twice, the accused’s first wife left him after getting fed up with his bad habits, after which the accused married for the second time after just four months.
The accused’s neighbour said that Akshay got married recently and lived with his brother and mother, the marriage happened about 4 months ago. This was his second marriage, his first wife left him due to his habits and domestic issues between them. After Akshay Shinde’s arrest, the family members immediately left the area and locked the house and went somewhere.
The complexities of the family life of these two criminals have made the police investigation even more difficult. Their marriages and family relationships are being investigated in depth to understand what impact family life had on the mindset of these criminals. From a social point of view, these revelations also highlight those aspects of society which are usually ignored. These cases have raised the question whether the family circumstances of both these persons can be considered to have contributed in their path to becoming criminals?
