One devotee injured in a landslide on Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra route, debris fell down, watch video

A major accident has happened during the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra. A devotee got injured due to a landslide on the Yatra route. After the incident, relief and rescue work was started rapidly, so that the situation could be controlled. The injured devotee was immediately provided medical facility and his condition is said to be stable.

The administration has appealed to the devotees to be cautious during the journey and proceed keeping in mind the condition of the route. Due to the landslide, movement on the Yatra route has been temporarily stopped, and the concerned officials have been directed to clear the route.

According to official figures, 93.50 lakh people visited the Vaishno Devi temple built on the Trikuta hills in Reasi district of Jammu. Earlier in 2013, the highest number of 93.24 lakh devotees visited Vaishno Devi. Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, had said that this time in the last ten years, the highest number of 93.24 lakh pilgrims had come to visit Vaishno Devi.
