On the pretext of his speech at the Red Fort, Modi set the agenda for the next 6 months

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag from the ramparts of the Red Fort for the 11th consecutive time on Independence Day. The PM has been giving a hint about what the government is going to do in the coming years in his speech at the Red Fort every time. Continuing his tradition, this time too, PM Modi said a lot in his 98-minute long speech that the Government of India intends to do in the next 6 months. The gist of his speech was that those who think that PM Modi has become weak due to fewer seats in the Lok Sabha elections or that the central government is not going to take any such decision on which there can be controversy, then they should understand that this is not going to happen. Modi has said many such things like secular code, reform, message to Bangladesh in the name of protection of Hindus etc. which show that the government does not want to look weak from anywhere. It should be remembered that in 2019, when Narendra Modi took power for the second time, in the same year, he took many such decisions which governments usually take in election season. Obviously, from this time’s speech at the Red Fort, it seems that the next 6 months are going to be very important for the country politically.

1-UCC was given a new look as Secular Code

In his speech today, PM Modi gave a new name to the Universal Civil Code. PM Modi said that the law that exists in the country till now is a communal civil code, therefore the country needs a secular civil code. PM Modi said that the laws that divide in the name of religion should be removed. Modi said that the Constitution of our country emphasizes that there should be a uniform civil code in the country. The Supreme Court has also been saying that a uniform civil code should be implemented in the country.

Prime Minister Modi said, ‘In our country, the Supreme Court has repeatedly discussed about UCC. Has given orders many times. Because a large section of the country believes that the civil code with which we are living is truly communal and discriminatory.’ He said, ‘Laws that divide on the basis of religion, become the reason for discrimination, those laws cannot have any place in modern society. Now the country demands that there should be a secular civil code in the country.’

The political implication is that those who thought that UCC can now be shelved were wrong. BJP will bring UCC with full force. Even if its name is now Secular Civil Code. It is true that the central government no longer has an absolute majority in the Lok Sabha. BJP’s two allies JDU and Telugu Desam can take a stand different from BJP’s stand on the issue of minorities. But BJP is not going to be scared of anyone. Secondly, for those who were thinking that Narendra Modi may bring some change on hardline issues in his third term, there is a message for them too that nothing like this is going to happen. BJP will continue with its old stance.

2- A message was given to Bangladesh in the name of protecting Hindus

From the ramparts of the Red Fort today, Narendra Modi has given a clear message on many important issues including the attacks on Hindus and vandalism of temples in Bangladesh. Without naming Sheikh Hasina, who has been exiled from Bangladesh, he clearly said that whatever happened in Bangladesh, it is justified to be concerned about it as a neighbouring country. Although the PM’s tone was very polite, but it was a strong message for Bangladesh. The PM said that I hope that the situation there will soon become normal. Especially the concern of 140 crore countrymen that the safety of Hindus and minority community should be ensured there. India always wants that our neighbouring country should walk on the path of happiness and peace. Soon Bangladesh will walk on the path of development. But it was worth noting that the PM said that India has a commitment towards peace, we have our values. In the coming days, our good wishes will always be there in the development journey of Bangladesh, because we are people who think about the welfare of mankind. This kind of language is indirectly a kind of threat. It is understood that Bangladesh will definitely understand the PM’s speech.

Obviously the next 6 months are important for Bangladesh. Politics will continue in India in the name of safety of Hindus in Bangladesh. BJP is still alleging that the entire opposition is silent on what is happening to Hindus in Bangladesh. People are killed in Gaza and the entire opposition cries but people are silent for Hindus.

3- Strict action will continue against the corrupt, meaning action like Kejriwal will continue

In his speech, the PM said that we have waged a war against corruption on a large scale. I know that I and my reputation have to pay the price for this. But my reputation cannot be bigger than the nation. His direct indication was that due to sending the leaders elected by the people to jail, the opposition has been constantly accusing him of being a dictator. But despite this, he is not going to stop. With this, it has also become clear that the CBI and ED will continue to work according to their own will. If the opposition or the general public is thinking that now the government will stop by taking action in corruption cases, then they are thinking wrong. Whether it is Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal or Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the law will do its work. The government is not going to come under pressure. These two institutions are not going to tighten any kind of noose on ED and CBI.

He further said that a change has come at a high level in the social life, that is the biggest challenge and concern. Can anyone imagine that despite having such a great constitution in my own country, there are some people who are glorifying corruption, openly hailing corruption.

PM Narendra Modi said, “The effort being made to sow such seeds in the society, the continuous effort being made to increase the acceptability of the corrupt has become a big challenge and a matter of concern for the society. If corruption is glorified, then even those who do not indulge in corruption feel that this becomes a colour of prestige in the society.

4- Reforms will not stop

PM Modi has made one more thing clear in his speech that no matter how much the opposition opposes, the reforms will continue. He said that our government has brought big reforms on the ground. Be it the poor, the middle class, the deprived people, the growing urban population, the dreams of the youth, we chose the path of reform to bring change in their lives. Our commitment to these reforms is not limited to the editorial of any pink paper. This commitment of our reforms is that they are not for four days of applause, the commitment of our reforms is not out of any compulsion but with the intention of strengthening the country. Our path of reform has become a blueprint for growth in a way. We have not made this change due to political compulsion. Nation first is our resolution. It means that within the next six months, work has to be done very fast on economic reforms and legal reforms like UCC, Waqf Board Bill etc.

5-Emphasis on education and employment

The votes of the youth have been very decisive behind the defeat of BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. It is said that the youth gave less votes to BJP on the issue of employment and paper leak in examinations. Perhaps this is the reason that the government is now going to work a lot on education and employment. Modi talked about getting employment from green energy, developing Nalanda spirit and increasing 75 thousand medical seats. It was clear that somewhere he has to take some steps for the welfare of the youth. He said, Bihar has a proud history, here we have rebuilt Nalanda University. Nalanda University has started working once again. But we will have to awaken that centuries-old Nalanda spirit once again in the field of education. We will have to live the Nalanda spirit, with great faith in that Nalanda spirit, we will have to work to give new consciousness to the traditions of knowledge of the world. It is clear that the government wants us to establish world-class educational institutions. Studies should be employment-oriented. The pace of development and progress of the country should be such that no one is unemployed.
