On National Sports Day, Rahul Gandhi shared a martial arts video and said ‘Bharat Dojo Yatra’ is coming

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Thursday shared a throwback video on his social media account on National Sports Day. In the video, Rahul Gandhi is seen practicing Japanese martial art Jiu-Jitsu during the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’. Along with this video, he has written that ‘Bharat Dojo Yatra’ is coming soon.

Dojo means a training hall or a martial arts school. Rahul Gandhi appealed to the youth to focus on fitness. In the video, Rahul Gandhi was seen teaching martial arts moves to children. After this, he was also seen defeating his opponent.

Rahul posted the video on Instagram and wrote, “During the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, while we were traveling thousands of kilometers, it was our routine to practice Jiu-Jitsu every evening at our camp. What started as a simple way to stay fit soon turned into a community activity.”

Rahul said, ‘Through this art of Martial Art, we tried to explain meditation, non-violence, self-defense and their power to the youth. These gentle arts among the youth can easily become a means of a sensitive and safe society, this is the beauty of sports – no matter what sport you play, it makes you strong both physically and mentally. Heartiest wishes to all of you on National Sports Day.’

I have done the hike twice

Let us tell you that before the Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi had undertaken a more than two-month-long Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which started from Manipur on January 14 and ended in Mumbai. This was the second phase of his previous Kanyakumari-to-Kashmir padayatra undertaken from September 2022 to January 2023. In the video, Rahul Gandhi was seen conducting a session on martial arts techniques with children. The Congress leader was seen telling the children that he is a black belt in Aikido and a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu.
