‘Olympics should be boycotted, this is an insult to the country’, said AAP leader Sanjay Singh on Vinesh Phogat’s disqualification

India’s hopes for the Paris Olympics 2024 have suffered a major setback on Wednesday. Vinesh Phogat has been eliminated from the Olympic competition. She has been disqualified for being found to be 50 kg overweight. Due to this, she not only got out of the finals, but also missed out on a medal. The Indian Olympic Association has made the information public about this. Now many political reactions are also coming to the fore regarding this.

AAP MP calls for boycott of Olympics

AAP MP Sanjay Singh wrote on X, ‘This is not an insult to Vinesh but to the country. Vinesh Phogat was going to create history in the whole world, declaring her 100 grams overweight and disqualifying her is a grave injustice. The whole country stands with Vinesh, the Indian government should intervene immediately, if the matter is not accepted then boycott the Olympics.’

Brij Bhushan’s son Karan Bhushan said that the country has suffered a loss due to the disqualification of Viresh Phogat. We will appeal in this regard.
