NYT ‘Connections’ September 4: Answers, Hints for Game #451

If you are struggling with today Connections puzzle Newsweek All the information you need so you can win.

A very popular brainteaser was launched by The New York Times in June of last year and it has become the second most played game behind Newspaper WordleyAnother word-based puzzle.

Connections Can be quite challenging, and a little movement can sometimes make all the difference. The answers to Wednesday’s puzzle are at the bottom of this article, so proceed with caution if you choose to solve it yourself.

How to play ‘Connections’

Players are tasked with grouping 16 words into four categories based on association.

Each of the four categories is labeled with a color, which also indicates their level of difficulty: starting with yellow, the easiest, then green, blue, and finally the hardest category, purple.

If it makes it easier, at any point during the game a player can shuffle the board so that the 16 words are randomly repositioned. If a player guesses the wrong word groups four times, the game ends in defeat. There is no time limit for the game.

According to Connections Editor Yina Liu, If you have five cards that seem to belong to the same category, your best move might be to try to find a different category, then come back to the original card after some words are gone.

“Doing that can get one of those extra cards out of contention, or at least remove a few cards from the board, making it easier to look at other categories,” she said.
