Nurse raped, robbed and murdered… Kolkata-like incident in Uttarakhand, murderer caught through phone’s EMI number

A Kolkata-like incident has come to light from Udham Singh Nagar in Uttarakhand. Where a nurse was brutally murdered after being raped and robbed. It is being told that the nurse was missing since July 30, the deceased’s sister had lodged a complaint in the local police station. Revealing the incident, the police said that the accused was arrested from Rajasthan and after presenting him in the court, he was sent to jail.

In fact, the missing woman’s skeletal body was found lying in the bushes in Bilaspur district of UP on August 8. The postmortem report revealed that the woman was raped and then strangulated to death. The police began the investigation and started scanning the CCTV cameras installed nearby. The EMI number of the woman’s phone was also put on surveillance. While scanning the CCTV footage, the police saw a suspicious young man who was seen following her.

The police team found out through surveillance that the location of the phone’s EMI number was in Bareilly, UP. Immediately a police team reached the spot and found out that the phone was being used by Khushboo, wife of Dharmendra, resident of Tursapatti, Thana Shahi, District Bareilly. During interrogation, it also came to light that her husband Dharmendra also used the phone. Both were found absconding from the spot, after which the police formed a team to arrest them and kept watching the location of the phone.

During the investigation, the police found Dharmendra’s location in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The police team caught him on Tuesday and brought him to Dehradun. During interrogation, Dharmendra told the police that he was working in a wheat factory in Jafarpur for the last five-six months. On July 30, he saw a woman walking alone in the dark. After this, he kept his bag in an empty place and caught the woman, gagged her and took her to the bushes. He raped her along with looting her. When the woman tried to shout and struggle, he strangled her with a stall.

After robbing the woman’s mobile, he raped her and then crushed her face with a stone to hide her identity. He went to Bareilly and inserted his SIM in her phone and started using it. When he got a hint of the police, he fled to Jodhpur. On this matter, SSP Manjunath TC said that the accused was arrested from Jodhpur. Accused Dharmendra has confessed his crime. Strictest action will be taken against him.
