NTA released the schedule of UGC NET exam, see the timetable from this direct link

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule of University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024 for the June session. Candidates can check the schedule from the official website of UGC NET ugcnet.nta.ac.in. As per the notice, the UGC NET June 2024 exam will be conducted again in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from August 21 to September 4. The notification regarding the city of examination center will be displayed on the NTA website ugcnet.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in 10 days before the exam.

Earlier, this exam was conducted in two shifts in pen and paper format on 18 June. The first shift was from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the second shift started from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Now this time the exam will be conducted online between 21 August and 4 September. In fact, the UGC NET exam held on the 18th of this month was canceled by the Ministry of Education after getting indications of paper leak.

UGC canceled NET exam after receiving complaint

The University Grants Commission (UGC) had received some inputs from the National Cyber ​​Crime Threat Analytics Unit (NCTAU) of the Indian Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Center of the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the examination. It was told in these that there was a disturbance in the offline examination held on June 18. After this, it was decided to cancel this examination and conduct it again. The CBI is investigating the disturbances in the examination.

The Ministry of Education conducted the UGC-NET June 2024 examination in several cities of the country on June 18, 2024. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the examination in OMR (pen and paper) mode in two shifts. On the very next day, on June 19, 2024, the University Grants Commission (UGC) received inputs of irregularities in the examination from the National Cyber ​​Crime Threat Analytics Unit (NCTAU) of the Indian Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Center of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

More than 11 lakh students had given the exam

The UGC NET exam June 2024 was conducted at 1205 examination centers in 317 cities across the country, in which 11,21,225 candidates appeared. The first shift of the NET exam held on June 18 was from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift was from 3 pm to 6 pm. NTA conducted the exam for all 83 subjects on the same day.
