NIRF Ranking 2024: The Union Ministry of Education has announced the NIRF Ranking 2024 today. The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has once again got the first position in the overall ranking of institutions across the country. IIT Madras also got the first position in the ranking of last year i.e. 2023. At the same time, IISc Bengaluru is at the first rank in the list of top universities of the country.
AIIMS Delhi is leading in medical category
As always, IITs have dominated the engineering category of NIRF Ranking 2024 and most of the top 10 positions are occupied by IIT institutes. AIIMS Delhi ranks first in the medical category. IIM Ahmedabad has topped the management category. Jamia Millia Islamia and Jawaharlal Nehru Universities of the capital Delhi have made their place in the top five universities of the country. Manipal University and Banaras Hindu University are also included in this list.

What is NIRF?
The full form of NIRF is National Institute of Ranking Framework. Under this, the Government of India decides the rank of higher educational institutes across the country on the basis of their performance.
