According to media reports, this information has been given by Congress General Secretary and West Bengal in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir. However, it has not been officially confirmed. In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury lost to TMC’s Yusuf Pathan from Baharampur seat. He was a continuous MP from this seat since 1999.
