NEET 2024: NTA will soon release the revised score of NEET exam, see here how to check

The revised score card for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 has not been released yet. After the final decision of the Supreme Court on NEET, the candidates are eagerly waiting for the score card, because the rank of many students may increase or decrease in the new scorecard. According to media reports, NTA can release the final scorecard today.

Why is the revised scorecard being released

The need to change the merit list arose after the Supreme Court’s direction regarding an ambiguous question in Physics. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on July 23 that the revised results would be released within two days. In fact, the court has asked the National Testing Agency to accept only the answers given by the expert team of IIT Delhi in the Physics question paper as correct and accordingly, has ordered to revise the results of four lakh students.

The Supreme Court on Monday asked the expert team of IIT Delhi to suggest the correct answer to a wrong question in the Physics paper. Initially, the NTA had asked to consider two options as correct answers due to discrepancies between the old and new NCERT books and students were given grace marks accordingly. The court clarified after the expert team’s report that two options for a question cannot be considered the correct answer. This adjustment will affect the marks of about 4.2 lakh students who had chosen the previously accepted answer, reducing the number of top scorers from 61 to an estimated 17.
