In Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, former block chief Nawab Singh Yadav was arrested on charges of raping a minor girl. He is currently in jail. Now today the police have also arrested the victim’s aunt. It is alleged that when Nawab Singh Yadav committed the crime, the victim’s aunt was present outside the room, she did not help even when the victim called out.
Let us tell you that on the night of 11 August, former block pramukh Nawab Singh Yadav raped a minor in his college campus in Kannauj. The victim’s aunt was also made an accused in this case. She was absconding. The victim’s aunt was arrested by the police on Wednesday morning and when questioned, many important information came to light.
The police arrested the victim’s aunt on Wednesday morning around 5 am while she was going to her maternal home in Rampur Binora village. Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Anand said that the victim’s aunt who was arrested was in contact with the accused Nawab Singh Yadav for about five-six years. There was also a physical relationship between these people.

During interrogation, the woman told that when the victim went for medical examination, she was lured by the brother of accused Nawab Singh Yadav not to record her statement and was also asked to reveal some names so that the investigation could be diverted.
During police interrogation, the victim’s aunt told that on the night of 11th August, Nawab Singh Yadav called her. She was in Lucknow at that time and he also told her that his niece was also with him, that is why he called her. After this, she reached Nawab Singh Yadav’s college at night.
SP Amit Kumar Anand said that after the incident, the girl had called 112, after which 112 and Kotwali police reached the spot. After this, a case was registered on the basis of the complaint and the accused Nawab Singh Yadav was arrested.
