Navy’s secret weapon will now give edge to the Air Force… country’s new air defense system

A few months ago, DRDO successfully tested VL-SRSAM for the Indian Navy. It is a short-range surface-to-air missile. Which is launched vertically. The vertical launch facility helps in deploying it in submarines and ships. But this facility was not useful for the Air Force.

Therefore, for the benefit of the Air Force, DRDO has deployed it on an 8×8 truck mounted system. This means that now it can also be used for firing from the ground. VL-SRSAM means Vertical Launch Short Range Surface to Air Missile. Its striking power and speed are extremely lethal. Therefore, it does not get caught in the enemy’s radar. The enemy’s missile, be it an aircraft, helicopter or drone… it shoots it down.

This missile has an indigenous radio frequency seeker which further increases its accuracy. A target flying at low altitude means an aircraft, drone, missile or helicopter that is coming by dodging the radar. This means that the enemy cannot deceive India in this way. VL-SRSAM missiles will blow the enemy to pieces.

This missile has been made to remove Barak-1 missiles

Defence Research and Development Laboratory Pune, Research Centre Imarat Hyderabad and Research and Development Pune are involved in making this missile. This missile will be installed in warships so that Barak-1 missiles can be removed. Barak-1 missile has been jointly made by Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.

Will provide formidable aerial protection for short distances

The range of VL-SRSAM is 25 to 30 km. It can reach a maximum height of 12 km. Its speed is twice that of Barak-1. It flies at a speed of Mach 5556.6 km/hr. It can be fired from any warship. Its specialty is that it rotates 360 degrees and kills its enemy.
