Nature’s fury in Jalaun, 2 shepherds died and 2 got burnt in the field due to lightning

A major accident occurred due to lightning in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh. Two shepherds died due to lightning. Two others were severely burnt. There is chaos in the families of the deceased after the accident. As soon as the news of the accident was received, the administrative staff including the SDM reached the spot and took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. The injured were also taken to the medical college.

Actually, on Saturday, Balram Savita, Lala Savita, Rajendra Dubey and Surendra alias Bade Lala, residents of Usar village of the tehsil area, had gone to graze their cattle in the field. At around three o’clock, they brought their cattle to a field located near the village and started grazing them. Meanwhile, it started raining. To avoid this, everyone went to take shelter under a neem tree nearby.

4 people were struck by lightning

Then lightning struck the tree from the sky, in which all four were hit. In this, Balram and Lala Savita died on the spot. Whereas, Surendra and Rajendra Dubey were seriously injured. After the incident, the villagers standing far away reached the spot after hearing the screams. The people who reached the spot admitted both the injured to the medical college.

Injured Rajendra Dubey said that we were grazing the animals in the field. Then it started raining. We were standing under a tree. Then lightning struck. I don’t know what happened after that.

The Tehsildar said this in the matter

Kalpi Tehsildar Abhinav Tripathi said that two people died and two were injured due to lightning in Usar village. The process of providing compensation to the deceased has been started.
