Nature’s devastation in Gujarat, floods wreaked havoc in 18 districts, 35 people dead so far… roads, cars and bridges swept away in the flood, rescue by helicopter

Nature’s fury continues in Gujarat. Due to heavy rains, people are suffering for the last 4 days. The situation is bad in 18 districts of Gujarat right now or we can say that people are facing floods. The death toll due to rain and floods has reached 35. Out of 33 districts of the state, red alert for rain has been issued in 11, while yellow alert for rain has been issued in 22 districts. The state of devastation is such that the army has had to be deployed in Gujarat. 939 state highways, national highways and other roads of the state are closed. There is a horrific scene of devastation caused by floods in every city. The Meteorological Department has issued a high alert for heavy rains for the next 5 days.

The havoc of nature in Gujarat is such that cars got washed away, roads got washed away, bridges got washed away, bus stand got submerged. Colonies are submerged. From Kutch to Dwarka, Jamnagar to Morbi, Junagadh to Rajkot, Kheda to Porbandar, Botad to Bhavnagar… i.e. 18 districts of Gujarat are facing terrible conditions.

Crocodiles enter residential areas

On one hand, there is chaos due to the destructive rain, on the other hand, crocodiles have reached the doors of houses in Vadodara. A 15-foot crocodile reached the residential area. Fortunately, there was no one inside the house and the forest department team caught the crocodile that entered the house in time. The administration says that crocodiles are found in the Vishwamitra river. This is why crocodiles reached the houses.

Rivers crossed the danger level

The situation in Gujarat is worse than worse, the rivers in the state have crossed the danger level and villages are submerged in floods. A man was stuck in the flood for several hours on the banks of the Mahisagar river. Finally, the angels of the Air Force rescued him with a helicopter. The man’s health deteriorated due to being stuck for several hours, so after the rescue, he was admitted to the hospital.

Bus stand submerged, toll plaza submerged

The flood in Jamnagar has put people under house arrest. There is water inside and outside the house. Jamnagar MLA Rivaba Jadeja had reached the flood affected area with a team to rescue the people trapped there. The rescue team took out the people trapped in the flood with the help of stairs and ropes. The government bus stand of Jamnagar has drowned in the water. Only the roofs of the buses are visible, not only this, the toll plaza has also been submerged. The same is the condition of Rajkot.

People climbed on the roofs to save their lives

On the other hand, some areas of Vadodara are flooded with 10 to 12 feet of water. To save their lives, people are forced to wait for the rescue team on the roofs of their houses. People were rescued by helicopter in Porbandar and Kalyanpur. Amidst the flood crisis, the Gujarat government sought help from the Indian Army and Air Force, after which many units are engaged in rescue operations.

More than 41 thousand people were taken to a safe place

So far, a total of 41,678 people have been evacuated from flood-affected areas in different parts of Gujarat. In the last 48 hours, the Indian Coast Guard, Navy, Indian Army, Air Force and NDRF, ADRF teams have rescued more than 500 people. 15 NDRF, 27 SDRF and 7 Army teams are deployed in Gujarat.

939 roads are closed, people are trapped in their homes, there is no electricity or water

Chhota Udaipur is also in a bad condition due to the flood. A 50-year-old bridge was washed away by the flood. Be it Morbi, Patan, Banaskantha or Mahisagar… the districts are different, but the pictures of the devastation are the same. Somewhere a part of the bridge has collapsed, somewhere the roads have caved in. Many areas are completely cut off. So far, a total of 939 roads including 5 National Highways, 2 NHAI, 66 State Highways, 92 other roads, 774 Panchayat roads are closed. That means it is difficult to say how much more devastation the fury of nature will cause in Gujarat. Relief and rescue work is going on at war level. For the last 4 days, the lives of the people of Gujarat are stuck in the flood. People are imprisoned in their homes. There is no electricity. There is no clean water. Now the army soldiers have come as angels, the army soldiers are delivering water and food to every house with the help of rope and bucket.
