National Film Awards: Rishabh Shetty Best Actor, Manoj Bajpayee Special Mention, AR Rahman-Arijit won National Award

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Friday announced the 70th National Film Awards. Called the most prestigious cinema awards of the country, the National Awards are a huge achievement for any filmmaker. This time these awards have been given to those films which have been given censor certificate by the Film Censor Board between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2022.

Coming from the Kannada film industry, director-actor Rishab Shetty’s film ‘Kantara’ won the hearts of cinema fans with its mythology-based story in 2022. After watching the film, people were calling it a favorite for the National Awards.

Along with this, actor Mammootty, who is counted among the legendary actors of Malayalam cinema, was also considered a strong contender in the ‘Best Actor’ category for his two excellent films. Here is the list of this year’s National Award winners in feature films:
