‘Munjya’ star Abhay Verma got a big opportunity, will be seen in ‘King’ with Shahrukh-Suhana

After giving three back to back hits last year, superstar Shah Rukh Khan has not announced his new project. But it has been almost confirmed in the news that now he is working on the action entertainer ‘King’ with his daughter Suhana Khan.

A few days ago, fans spotted the script of ‘King’ on the table next to Shahrukh in a video. It was believed that this was an indirect confirmation from Shahrukh about his next film. Now, there is news of a new and exciting name being added to the cast of ‘King’.

New entry in the court of ‘King’
According to a report by Pinkvilla, young actor Abhay Verma has also been cast in ‘King’. Abhay played the lead role in the film ‘Munjya’ released some time ago. His film was one of the biggest surprise hits of the last few years and it made a net collection of more than Rs 100 crore in India.

Quoting a source, the report said, ‘Abhay has received a lot of praise for his performance in ‘Munjya’ and this is reflected in the new offers he is getting. He has got an important role in Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan’s ‘King’. He is very excited to work in this tentpole film.’ However, the details of Abhay’s character have been kept secret for now.

Abhay has gone through a lot of struggle
The public first noticed Abhay in Manoj Bajpayee’s web series ‘The Family Man 2’. He played the role of a terrorist who traps Manoj’s daughter. But his acting career started with the TV show ‘Marzi’. After this, he also worked in the web series ‘Little Things’ and was also a junior artist in Hrithik Roshan’s film ‘Super 30’.

Abhay played the role of a transgender in Zee5’s film ‘Safed’. This time he got a bigger role in the story and the people who watched the film praised his performance. This year, he was also seen playing a supporting role in Sara Ali Khan’s film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ and after this ‘Munjya’ was released, which in a way gave Abhay a launch platform in the lead role.

Ever since ‘Munjya’, Abhay has been getting offers for solid films and his acting talent is coming to the notice of the people. Now Abhay’s presence in Shahrukh and Suhana’s big project ‘King’ will definitely give him a lot of exposure. Some time ago, reports came that Abhishek Bachchan has been cast for the role of the villain in ‘King’. The director of ‘King’ is Sujoy Ghosh who has made ‘Kahaani’ with Vidya Balan. It is being produced by Siddharth Anand, who was the director of Shahrukh’s blockbuster ‘Pathan’.
