Mumbai Rain: Mumbai submerged in rain again, Andheri subway closed, water entered colonies, people being rescued by rubber boats

Many districts of Maharashtra are facing natural calamity these days. Torrential rains in many districts including Gadchiroli, Pune, Thane, Beed are increasing the difficulties of the people. Record rains in Lonavala for a few hours brought floods in the city, after which 30 tourists got stuck there. A rescue operation was conducted to save these tourists. Similarly, floods are taking over many cities. Apart from this, normal life has also been badly disrupted. All schools and colleges in Palghar district have been closed amid heavy rains. Due to heavy rains, one person has also died and another person is injured due to landslide in Adharwadi village of Pune rural.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, there is an alert of moderate to heavy rain in the cities and suburbs of Maharashtra today. The forecast also predicts very heavy rains at isolated places. Along with this, strong winds may blow at a speed of 50-60 kmph at times.
