On Sunday, a foreign woman was found tied to a tree with chains in the Ronapal-Sonurli forest of Sawantwadi tehsil of Mumbai. She was in a very bad condition. It seemed that she had not eaten or drunk anything for several days. Early in the morning, a shepherd noticed her. Then the woman was brought to Sawantwadi Cottage Hospital. Late in the evening, she was shifted to Oros Rural Hospital for further treatment.

A shepherd was taking cattle early in the morning in the forest of Ronapal in Sawantwadi taluka. Then he heard the sound of a woman crying. When he went to find out who was crying, he found a woman tied with chains. He immediately informed the villagers and after this the police reached the forest and found the woman tied to a tree.

The woman concerned has been identified as Lalitha Kayi Kumar S. She hails from Tamil Nadu but is originally a US citizen. Her right leg was chained and tied to a tree trunk. The woman was not in a position to speak due to heavy rains and hunger for several days.

Sawantwadi police freed her from the chains and admitted her to Sawantwadi Upazila Hospital. After this, members of Samajik Sammantiddha, Rupa Mudrale, Helen Nibare and Samira Khalil bathed and cleaned the woman. Now after treatment, more information will be available about the woman.

Meanwhile, she was sent to Oros District Hospital for further treatment. Police Inspector Amol Chavan of Sawantwadi police station said that Banda police is investigating further. Because this case is from the border area of ​​Banda. Banda Police Inspector said that he had gone to the forest for further investigation. Since the said woman is a foreign national, the police has refused to give more information.

According to the information that has come to light, the woman’s husband has committed this act due to a mutual quarrel. No complaint has been lodged so far and no case has been registered against anyone. The police is investigating the matter very carefully.
