Mumbai Crime: Priest attacked with knife during road rage, two accused arrested after video went viral

Mumbai Road Rage: A priest was stabbed and injured during a road rage incident in Mumbai. After committing this crime, the accused fled from the spot. The victim himself did not complain about this matter to the police. But after the video of this incident went viral, the police arrested two accused on Monday.

Giving information in this case, a Mumbai Police official told PTI that the incident took place on Saturday night in the western suburb of Kandivali. He said that two people have been arrested for attacking and injuring the 34-year-old priest. While the police is searching for two more people in connection with this incident.

On Monday, a police official said that on the day of the incident, one of the accused, Pratham Digamber Khillare (22) was travelling on a motorcycle when he hit the victim’s two-wheeler in the Laljipara area and then the two got into an argument. During this, Khillare called his friends who attacked the priest and his brother-in-law and he stabbed the priest with a knife.

The police officer said that the police team has arrested Khillare and his friend Chhotu Maniyar. The officer said that the victim initially refused to lodge a complaint, but a video of the attack surfaced on social media and a case was registered. The accused are being questioned.
