MP: Girls’ clothes were removed on the charge of bringing mobile phones in the classroom, angry family members reached the police station

Family members of a government school in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, have lodged a complaint at the police station after being angry over the matter of stripping and searching the girl students for bringing mobile phones into the classroom.

According to a news agency report, an official said that some girl students of a government school were allegedly strip-searched to find out who had brought a mobile phone to class. This angered the parents of the girls.

The families of the students made serious allegations

According to a complaint lodged by the parents of the students at the Malharganj police station, a teacher at the government Sharda Girls Higher Secondary School in the Bada Ganpati area took the girls to the toilet and asked them to remove their clothes after their mobile phone rang in the classroom, the official said.

In their complaint, the parents alleged that the girl students were also beaten up. A girl student of the school said that the teacher took her to the toilet, made her take off her clothes and threatened to shoot a video and make it viral on social media if she did not admit to bringing a mobile phone.

Police is investigating the matter

Sub Inspector M Dhurve of Malhargang Police Station said, ‘The complaint is being investigated after which action will be taken against the accused.’ Meanwhile, Principal of Girls Higher Secondary School, Seema Jain said that a student was found with a mobile phone in the classroom and her parents were informed about it. Speaking about the allegations related to the incident, Jain said that the matter will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken.
