MP: Famous milk product factory raided, liquid detergent, potash and palm oil recovered

The Food Safety Department has taken major action against the illegal business of adulterated milk products in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh. The action was taken against a milk factory operating in the area adjacent to the city where adulterated milk, cheese and ghee were found to be being manufactured. Products like liquid detergent, potash and hydrogen peroxide have also been recovered in large quantities from the factory, which are used to make adulterated milk etc.

The administration was constantly receiving complaints about the manufacture of adulterated milk products at the Radhe Kishna Food Products Factory near the Collectorate on the Police Line Road of the city. On the instructions of District Collector Lokesh Kumar Jangid, the Food Safety Team raided the factory on Wednesday evening and recovered the material used to make adulterated milk from the factory. The team has taken samples of milk, ghee, cheese etc. found there, which will be sent to Bhopal for testing. Also, the milk, ghee and cheese etc. available here have been destroyed.

In the raid conducted by the Food Safety Department, about 80-80 liters of milk was found being heated in two cauldrons and 40 liters of milk was found in a drum. About 40 kg of cheese was found in 10 molds of cheese, one drum of milk cream, about 100 liters of Desi Ghee was found, but which milkman supplied the milk, does he have so many buffaloes, cows etc. or not? No record related to this was found, whereas the then collector Sanjay Kumar had given these instructions.

Also, a tin of Best Choice refined palm oil, potash in a sack and liquid detergent of about 4 kg in a sack were found at the dairy. Hydrogen peroxide was found in another sack and 20 tins of Best Choice refined palm oil were also found at the operator’s house. This suggests that the material was adulterated. The team has destroyed the material. Further action is being taken against the dairy operator.
