MP: CM Mohan Yadav will overturn Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s decision, CPA will start again

The CPA i.e. Capital Project Administration which was dissolved by Shivraj Singh Chauhan during his tenure as Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh is now going to be restarted by the current Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. In this regard, CM Mohan Yadav met Union Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday and sought funds for CPA.

Actually, CM Mohan Yadav was in Delhi on Friday, where he met several Union Ministers. In this connection, while meeting Union Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, CM Mohan Yadav said that ‘Capital Project Administration (CPA) in Bhopal has been an organization engaged in the construction, development and maintenance of roads, parks and buildings, besides the protection and development of Nazul land’. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav requested the Union Minister to provide financial and technical assistance to revive CPA, so that in future CPA can start the development activities of Bhopal city again.

Shivraj had dissolved the CPA
Let us tell you that in August 2021, the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed great displeasure over the dilapidated roads in Bhopal and ordered to dissolve the CPA with immediate effect. Acting on the instructions of Shivraj, the CPA was dissolved in April 2022, after which the responsibility of maintenance of city roads went to PWD and maintenance of parks to the Forest Department.

What is CPA?
After Bhopal was made the capital, a department named CPA (Capital Project Administration) was formed to maintain the roads and parks of Bhopal. Along with roads and parks, the responsibility of maintaining many important government buildings was with CPA.
