The ‘Aaj Tak’ team was present on the spot during the entire operation to catch the wolf. In such a situation, let us know the whole story of the capture of the man-eating wolf, that too with our own eyes…

Let us tell you that the place where the dangerous wolf was caught in Bahraich is the Ghaghra river basin and the area of Harbans Purwa village on the Sitapur border. The wolf was caught in a net laid on the river bank, about 3 km north of the village.

Aaj Tak’s team also reached the place where three strategies were adopted to catch the dreaded wolf. First, they were located in the Kachhar area where three wolves were seen by the drone last evening and they were cornered in one area through firecrackers throughout the night.

This is how the wolf was caught, know the whole story

Nets were laid in this area of Kachhar on three sides. More than 200 forest workers were present in ambush since morning with sticks and other rescue equipment. Along with this, three doctors, two DFOs, one range officer and police from about two police stations were also present in the outer circle.

The forest department team present on the river side moved forward bursting crackers and chasing these wolves, then one wolf got caught in the forest department’s net. Seeing the net, it ran away to the other side, but tracking was being done on that side as well. A special net was made there for the wolf as well. As soon as the wolf got caught in this net, about 50 forest workers ran towards it. They caught it within several nets and immediately tranquilized it with an injection of anesthesia.

Aaj Tak’s team had ambushed the forest department’s final assault zone, crossing extremely difficult routes, this was the place where the wolves’ natural territory is. The team covered this operation every moment, even when this wolf was caught in the Kachhar area.

The wolf was caught by spreading a net and chasing it. Then it was loaded and brought back to the cage about 3 kilometers on foot, and then the wolf was put in it.

This wolf had become a man-eater

The DFO said that this is a healthy male wolf, which has become a man-eater. They had spotted it last night. The wolf was caught this morning. The forest department and other supporting teams showed great bravery. At the same time, the doctor who anaesthetized the wolf said that the search for the remaining man-eaters is on. Three from the family of 6 wolves were caught earlier and the fourth was caught today. Currently, two wolves are being searched for.

It is known that about 25 teams of 5 forest divisions Bahraich, Katarniaghat Wildlife, Shravasti, Gonda and Barabanki are engaged in catching these man-eating wolves in Bahraich. Now these man-eaters have expanded their range to other areas of the district. While the DFO of Bahraich is saying that the number of these wolves is six, the villagers of the affected areas are saying that their number is two dozen. The officials who tranquilized the wolf caught today said that its DNA sample has been taken and now only after testing it will be known whether this wolf belongs to the same group that has committed these crimes. However, it seems that this wolf belongs to the same group.

It is worth noting that due to wolves, such an atmosphere of fear has been created in these villages that people are guarding the village by staying awake all night. To keep their children and family safe, they are not allowing them to go out of the house after dark. At the same time, to boost the morale of the villagers, BJP MLA Sureshvar Singh from Mehsi seat of Bahraich also went out in search of wolves with his supporters carrying licensed guns. His supporters also had modern weapons.
