Terrible Combat 1The next expansion of Chaos Reigns Reimagined sector will be included, thanks Interference with Fire God Liu Kang’s timeline. She is still a devotee of the Lin Kuei, and is now very tight with Sub-Zero, but is less of a classic cyborg and more of an armor-clad warrior. And as Sector’s first gameplay trailer shows, it’s basically Iron Man, except sadder, as Mortal Kombat characters tend to be.
That Iron Man influence is particularly noticeable in Sector’s first fatality, in which she literally launches her rival Ermak into outer space, freezes it, then stops it on Earth, where it becomes brittle as it enters the atmosphere. Sector and what’s left of Ermak lands with a crater-smashing thud.
If there’s any question that we’re dealing with an Iron Man-type here, this MCU-style in-helmet HUD shot from Sector Fatality makes it pretty clear where developer Netherreal Studios is borrowing some of its ideas from.

Stark isn’t Sector’s only finishing move for Tony to pound his enemies into a smoky paste. Her newly revealed animality sees her transform into a rhinoceros, then gore her opponent with her giant horns. It’s a switch-up from the sector’s original Animality Terrible Combat 3In which Cyborg turned into a glowing bat and smashed his opponent’s head. (Kabal, incidentally, turns into a rhinoceros skeleton in MK3.)
NetherRealm’s Chaos Reigns Expansion comes Terrible Combat 1 On 24 September. Those DLCs include Syrex, Sector and Noob Saibot on the first day. Three more characters – screamof Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian and Terminator 2of T-1000 — to be released later.
