A minor in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself on Friday. Police said that the minor was scolded by his parents and was prohibited from playing online games on Friday.

Poonam Mishra, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of the area, said that the minor’s mother told the police that her 15-year-old son had lost Rs 2 lakh while playing online games, for which he was scolded.
The ACP said, “The parents scolded the minor and asked him not to play online games before going to work in the morning. When they returned home, they found the body of the minor son hanging from a hook on the ceiling.”
“The family members refused to initiate any legal action and conduct post-mortem and took the body of the minor to their native place for cremation,” the official said.
