A sensational incident of rape of a minor girl has come to light in Badaun, UP. A 25-year-old man raped a 12-year-old girl in a field in a village in Sahaswan area of the district. People reached the crime scene after hearing the girl’s screams. By then the accused had fled from there. The police have registered a case and started searching for the accused.
According to the police, this incident happened on Sunday evening. At that time the minor girl had gone to the field to defecate. Then the accused, a resident of the village, reached there. He raped her forcefully. During this, the girl started screaming in pain. Hearing her voice, the villagers who reached the spot rescued her. After this, they took her to the hospital. The victim is undergoing treatment there.
Sahaswan SHO Saurabh Singh said that based on the complaint of the victim girl’s family, an FIR has been registered against the accused. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. The victim’s condition is critical. Let us tell you that in the month of March also, a case of gang rape of a minor had come to light. This incident was carried out by two real brothers.

Police had said that a 15-year-old girl was gang-raped by two brothers in the Alaapur police station area of the district and later pushed down from the roof of a two-storey building. She was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Both the accused lived in the neighbourhood of the victim. On the day of the incident, they took her to the roof and made her a victim of their lust.
According to the report of the National Crime Records Bureau for the year 2021, 60.96 lakh criminal cases were registered in the country. 4.28 lakh cases of crime against women were registered. According to this, 1173 cases were registered every day. 15 percent more cases of crime against women were registered in 2021 as compared to the year 2020. 1.49 lakh cases of crime against children were registered.
This number is more than 16 percent compared to the year 2020. Most cases of crimes against children were registered under kidnapping and POCSO Act. At the same time, 31677 cases of rape were registered, in which there were 31878 victims. That is, three women were raped every hour. Among them, 28840 were adults and 3038 were minors. 3800 cases of attempted rape were registered.
