Migrant worker beaten to death in Haryana on suspicion of eating beef, police arrested 5 people of cow protection group

In Haryana’s Charkhi-Dadri district, the police have arrested five people from the Gau Raksha Dal for beating a migrant worker to death on suspicion of eating beef. Two teenagers involved in the case have also been arrested. A senior police officer said that the worker was identified as Sabir from West Bengal. This incident took place on 27 August.

Five members of a cow protection group have been arrested for allegedly beating to death a migrant worker from West Bengal on suspicion of eating beef in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri district, police said on Saturday. According to a senior police officer, Sabir Malik was killed on August 27.

‘The accused called me on the pretext of being a labourer’

The official also said that the accused members of the Gau Rakshak Dal had beaten the laborer badly on suspicion of eating beef, which led to his death. The accused Abhishek, Mohit, Ravinder, Kamaljit and Sahil had called the victim Sabir Malik to a shop on the pretext of selling empty plastic bottles and later beat him badly.

Two teenagers are involved in the case: Police

He said that when some people intervened in the matter, the accused took Malik to another place and beat him again, leading to his death. All five accused in the case have been arrested and two other teenagers have also been apprehended.
