PM Modi paid tribute

Prime Minister Modi paid tribute at the Jam Saheb Memorial in Nawanagar after arriving in Poland on Wednesday. He also visited the Kolhapur memorial. He had told in a social media post that humanity and compassion are important foundations of a just and peaceful world. The Jam Saheb Memorial in Nawanagar in Warsaw highlights the humanitarian contributions of Jam Saheb Digvijay Singh ji, Ranjit Singh ji Jadeja, who ensured shelter as well as care to Polish children who were left homeless due to World War II. Jam Saheb is remembered in Poland as Dobry (Good) Maharaja. Tributes paid at the memorial.

Let us tell you that Jam Saheb Memorial of Navanagar has a special connection with Gujarat. The Indian Maharaja in whose name this memorial is built, had raised 1000 orphan children of Poland. This memorial is dedicated to former Maharaja Jam Saheb Digvijay Singhji Ranjit Singhji Jadeja of Navanagar (now Jamnagar) of Gujarat.

Addressed the Indian community in Poland

PM Modi addressed the people of the Indian community in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, on Wednesday. Addressing the Indian community, he said that all of you have come from different parts of Poland. Everyone has different languages, dialects, food. But everyone is connected. You have given me such a wonderful welcome here. I am very grateful to all of you, the people of Poland for this welcome. You people have been dominating the Indian media for the last one week. There is a lot of discussion about the people of Poland. And a lot is being told about Poland as well. It is being told in the media that after 45 years an Indian Prime Minister has come to Poland. I am destined to do many good works.

The Prime Minister said that for us this is not a matter of politics but of culture. Those who did not get a place anywhere, India has given them a place in its heart and country. This is our culture, which every Indian is proud of. Poland has been its partner. During the Second World War, when Poland was surrounded by difficulties, when thousands of women and children of Poland were wandering from place to place for shelter, then Jam Saheb, Digvijay Singh, Ranjit Singh Jadeja ji came forward. They had built a special camp for women and children and they told the women and children of the camp that just as the people of Jamnagar call me Bapu, I am your Bapu too.

PM Modi said that empathy is also an identity of us Indians. If any country in the world faces a crisis, India is the first country to extend a helping hand. When Covid came, India said- Humanity first. We sent medicines and vaccines to more than 150 countries of the world. If there is an earthquake or any disaster anywhere in the world, India has only one mantra- Humanity first. If there is a war anywhere, India says- Humanity first and with this feeling, India helps the citizens of the world.
