Meerut South RRTS station opened for passengers, now the journey from Meerut South to Sahibabad will be completed in 30 minutes

Meerut South RRTS station was opened for public today at 2 pm. With the addition of this 8 km additional section, a total of 42 km of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor is now operational, which includes 9 stations from Sahibabad in Ghaziabad to Meerut South.

Meerut South Station is the first station of Meerut, around which are areas like Mohiuddinpur, Bhudbaral, Bahadurpur, Aminagar, Chhajjupur, Kharkhauda, ​​Kadarabad etc. With the opening of this station, travelling has become easier for these passengers.

With the launch of Namo Bharat train service from Meerut South, passengers will be able to reach Sahibabad in about 30 minutes. Apart from RRTS trains, this station will also provide local metro services for the Meerut region. The station has three tracks on three platforms. Two are for Namo Bharat trains and one for metro services.

The station has three levels, ground, mezzanine and concourse. It is approximately 215 metres long, 36 metres wide and 22 metres high. Namo Bharat trains will be available to passengers from 6 am to 10 pm on the entire section from Sahibabad to Meerut South. The first train in both directions will leave at 6 am and the last train will leave at 10 pm from the terminal stations – Sahibabad and Meerut South.

The one-way concessional fare of Namo Bharat Train will be Rs 110 for Standard Class from Sahibabad to Meerut South and Rs 90 for Standard Class from Ghaziabad to Meerut South.

Meerut South RRTS station will have a large parking facility. Two parking spaces located on both sides of the entry-exit gates of the station have been built in about 13,000 square meters. About 1,200 four-wheelers and two-wheelers can be parked in these parking spaces.

Apart from this, dedicated parking is also available for auto-rickshaws. The station is designed to facilitate easy pick-up and drop-off for vehicles coming from both Meerut and Delhi, with direct access from the main road. For the convenience of Divyang passengers, a special parking area and ramps have been built in the station for easy access, so that they can travel easily in Namo Bharat Train.
