In Pilibhit, UP, BJP MLA Vivek Verma’s father and former minister opened a front against his own government. From the stage, he declared Mayawati a better chief minister than CM Yogi Adityanath. He alleged that at least there was no bribery in Mayawati’s government, which is at its peak in this government.
In fact, Ram Saran Verma, who was a minister in the BJP government, sat on a dharna in Pilibhit’s Bisalpur Mandi yesterday over several demands including stray animals, corruption, sugarcane payment. He is the father of Vivek Verma, the current MLA from Bisalpur seat. During the dharna, while looking at his MLA son from the stage, he said that Yogi is the worst among all the chief ministers till date. Mayawati was better than him, at least there was less corruption during her time.
Finally, Ramsharan Verma gave a memorandum to the officials and ended the protest. He along with his supporters had staged a protest in the Mandi premises with seven-point demands. He also warned of a big movement if the demands were not resolved soon. However, more than the protest, his statement is making headlines from social media to political corridors. The opposition is taking a dig at him about this. At the same time, local BJP leaders are avoiding his statement.
Let us tell you that Ramsaran Verma, who has been a minister in the BJP government, has been elected MLA from Bisalpur many times. Considering his increasing age, he got his son Vivek Verma a ticket and got him elected as MLA from here. He is considered to have a good hold in the area.
Regarding their protest, the city magistrate said that former minister Ramsharan Verma has given a memorandum after the protest. In this memorandum, problems like stray animals, corruption in the municipality etc. have been mentioned. We will inform the district officer about these problems, and whatever problem there is at the administrative level will be resolved.
